|
|
Long I've considered installing gentoo from the minimal installation. Since my boss got me a laptop to work on, my personal laptop has became idle, and I can get this project going on it.
Since there's no way to recycle burnt media I know of I'm not very fond of burning CDs, I was wondering how can I make a bootable usb key using the minimal install image.
Thanks in advance for your insights,
GTLudwig
EDIT: found this a little after posting this thread. |

If you don't want to waste a CD you can still burn RW one:)
Anyway, you should definitely try sysrescueCD, that's gentoo base liveCD, that you can 'burn' on a USB key
That's very well explained on their documentation. and since I descovered this, my USB stick has two partition: one which is a sysrescue live 'system', and the other one which is actually used as a removable media _________________ The End of the Internet! |
