|
|
Does anyone know if it's possible to control the frequency on the E2220
with a 2.6.28 kernel? My PentiumM lowers the CPU speed automatically,
and I'd expected the E2220 to do the same. Since the E2220 is a desktop
I'm not really concerned, but it would be nice to know why it doesn't work.
Thanks - Will |

You need the acpi_cpufreq or speedstep modules for this. Do you have it compiled into the kernel or as module?

Yes, they are compiled in. It may be some subtle difference between portable
and desktop configurations. I'll keep digging through the config file.

Whats your default scaling govenor? Check for CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_ in your .config.
