I just need Apache to work on my localhost. I'm not a newbie to this, but I'm not an Apache genius either. http://localhost doesn't connect, and when I /etc/init.d/apache2 restart, I get

Code:

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
* Stopping apache2...
apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for Baku
apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
httpd (no pid file) not running                                           [ ok ]
* Starting apache2...
apache2: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for Baku
apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

I added ServerName localhost to httpd.conf and now I'm only getting

Code:

httpd (no pid file) not running

"apache" doesn't show up anywhere when I run ps either. Yet, when I run /etc/init.d/apache2 start, it says it's already running.

Alrighty. After adding 127.0.0.1 (computer name) and ::1 (computer name) to /etc/hosts, it works.

Allow me to thank myself. :P
