Hello, I'm not really sure what the swap partition is used for, but, I have a question. Is it possible to Use the same swap partition if I, lets say, dual boot or triple boot three different Linux distros, or do I have to make a new swap partition for every OS that requires swap?
And Grub, as I've understood, I can choose to install GRUB on a separate partition, so that I can keep it after an unistall of Linux. But, where can I edit GRUB if I don't have any Linux OS on the computer?
Anybody that could would be great, even if it's just to correct me, that would be great, or help me, or tell where I really should post this, anything. Thanks. |

one swap partition is enough, u can use swapon for choose which partition you wanna use for swap.
and about the grub thing, u can edit any file on your hdd from a livecd, u just need to mount the partition first.
