Are there any plans to move ahead to basing this whole distro on GCC 3.0.x?
If there are, how easy would it be to upgrade an entire system?
Or would it be worth it then to do an entirely new install? |

just installed gcc-3.0.4
and
"emerge --update --emptytrees world"
should do a big part of the trick! |

You're both best off checking the -dev mailinglist for the gcc3 threads that have all breakage, knowledge and hints there for your general use.
