Philips SPC 520NC WebCam chip?

Does anyone know the name of the actual chip used in the Philips SPC 520NC
webcam? Google doesn't seem to have it anywhere. I've got the camera running
with the defaults, but I'd like a bit more control over the output.

On the same note, has anyone got camE working recently? It would do exactly
what I want, if it worked, but at the moment I'm just getting "no supported
palette found". It seems to need VIDEO_PALETTE_RGB24, or _YUV420P, or
_YUV420 and I have no clue as to where these come from, or how to set
them up.
