Hello,
Je rencontre un truc très bizarre : je viens d'installer une Gentoo toute neuve sur mon netbook (Acer Aspire One A110L boosté par 1,5 GO de RAM, batterie 9 cellules et nouveau disque dur 1,8" Toshiba), et j'ai un truc très bizarre : une fois X démarré, plus moyen de voir les consoles TTY quand je bascule avec CTRL+ALT+Fn.
Elles sont bien là, car je peux lancer des commandes (log in, faire beep, log off).
L'affichage reste celui de X, légèrement altéré (quelques couleurs qui changent légèrement).
Et je peux retourner sur X et continuer comme si de rien n'était (clavier, souris OK).
Le chipset est un intel 945GMA, je suis en ~x86 "100% HAL" (pas de xorg.conf).
Que puis-je observer ?
- rien ne bouge dans dmesg

Le chipset est un Intel 945GME, résolution de 1024x600 en graphique, et "vga" (80x43) en console.
J'avais une autre installation qui fonctionnait, j'ai récupéré le kernel, ce n'est probablement pas là que ça coince. Par contre elle est plus ancienne concernant les drivers i915.
Je vais vérifier les fichiers de config.

PS: Je ne poste pas seulement pour avoir une réponse, mais éventuellement pour avoir une trace qui pourrait servir de référence en cas de problème similaire

Voilà, ça marche : il fallait désactiver l'option KMS (Kernel Mode Setting) dans le kernel.
