I've just moved into my dorm room at college, and Gentoo doesn't seem to work on the new ethernet. I had DHCP and everything setup great before I left, and it worked fine. Now it fails to bring up eth0. It works in the LiveCD or Knoppix, but not in the Gentoo install. The only thing I knew of to try was copy resolv.conf from the LiveCD over, but that didn't help. What could I look into to get it to work? |

Well, I changed to gentoo-sources over gaming-sources, and it seems to work now. I kept the same .config and did a make oldconfig, so it should all be the same. I don't know what happened. Oh well, it works. Thanks. |
