What the hell happened to Amarok?

It's so poor.

Where is my collection, my ratings? When can I sort my entire collection by rating? Where can I access my "Devices"?

Tell me I have someone configured wrong please :)

What with KDE being a completely failure and now this!

Help!

Paul

Oh, I am so tired of this now. It had deleted my collection database, all my rating and just crashes on start up "Scanning music" then "Amarok has crashed"

You're complaining here too? Well if you don't like amarok try songbird-bin or something else.

I feel like you're just coming here to complain about kde 4 and everything that goes along with it. You probably have some errors in your settings or didn't upgrade to kde4 properly if you're having this many issues.

I couldn't work out how to connect to my MTP device either. I've just gone back to 1.4 for now and I'm going to mask amarok-2 for the time being

And what about EQUALIZER, this cant no be used properly.

I hope that kde 4.4 gets better, if not I will switch back to Gnome.

Look what It says about Amarok

As for the devices:
I was also searching and did not find any place to add or configure devices...since I have a player with MTP I used the old amarok also to fill my player with music. I could not find these features in the new Amarok 2.
Solution:
Just plug in your device - Amarok will find it automatically and configure it. Then you have new options on the contextmenu like "Copy to device"
:D
Crazy new software - takes time to get used to how easy it can be (sometimes).

cheers
Tom
