Xdmx segfault in dixRequestPrivate()

Yo! Busy with Xdmx. Just updated my Xorg server to be compiled with xdm support. Afterwards I got my Xdmx executable, but using it will always give a seg fault. Backtrace:
dixRequestPrivate()
dmxInitGC()
dmxScreenInit()
AddScreen()
InitOutput()
main()

I've got X running on a laptop and connecting to it works, but the segfaults keep coming. The machine itself is a AMD Athlon 64 X2, with Gentoo kernel 2.6.30. Xorg version is 1.6.1.901. Trying Xdmx to connect to same machine (which does Xorg perfectly) gives above segfault.

The patch that is mentioned in those threads seems to be included in the xorg-server-1.6 code, but it still segfaults
