|
|
Has anyone noticed that, in the last couple of days, email notifications from the forum have stopped displaying properly in KMail's preview pane?
I've noticed this behavior on my machine and I'm trying to figure out if I screwed something up on the server or on my machine.

Oh yeah, and if you are/aren't having problems, can you please also tell me how you're retrieving email? (POP3, IMAP, local delivery, etc.)

Thanks for the report. Try turning your kmail headers to "Long Headers" in the View menu and you may be able to see what I mean.
I did a little more research on the problem -- it's caused because phpBB places an extra comma on the To: header of the email. Turn on "All Headers" in Kmail and look for the To: line and it should look something like:
Code: | To: <your@email.com>, |
That errant comma gives kmail fits when using long headers. (at least, it does on my machine)
Turns out, this is a bug in phpBB.
Anyway, at least now I know what causes it.

Could you change KMail to display All Headers and then paste the headers of a notification email here?

Thanks for the post kormoc. I'm wondering if your MTA (InterMail, from your headers) is smart enough to delete the comma during the SMTP transfer. That's got to be the reason it doesn't show up for you. Anyway, glad to hear it isn't affecting you.
Also, I edited your post to remove email addresses from there. Don't want to make it any easier for the spam harvesters than we have to.
