wpc11 help

i need some help with a wireless card. it is a linksys wpc11 v3 card. i have been reading the posts and following what i can for advice, but i can't even get the card to show up with an iwconfig. i had a regular wired pcmcia card which was eth0. i added iface_wlan="dhcp" under the eth0 line. i am just completely unsure how to get this card working. i took out the eth0.net on boot, and did an rc-update add wlan0 boot. course it fails, and still trys to start eth0. also, just a side note, eth0 seems to start, but it doesn't, so i manually start it, and it says it is started already, so i stop then start it and it works fine. if there are some simple step by step instructions out there to move from an eth0 to a wlan0 that would be a huge help. sorry, and thanks a ton.
