Hi, I've installed a Gentoo 1.4 and is all working fine but ybind.
In the domain we have a NIS server with Debian that works correctly with RH9 and Debian clients, but when I try to do the ypbind in Gentoo:
ash-2.05b# ypbind -d
parsing config file
Trying entry: ypserver 193.145.55.151
parsed ypserver 193.145.55.151
add_server() domain: iuamtg.upf.es, host: 193.145.55.151, slot: 0
[Welcome to ypbind-mt, version 1.11]
ping host '193.145.55.151', domain 'iuamtg.upf.es'
Pinging all active server.
ping host '193.145.55.151', domain 'iuamtg.upf.es'
Pinging all active server.
ping host '193.145.55.151', domain 'iuamtg.upf.es'
ypbindproc_domain_2_svc (iuamtg.upf.es)
trylock = success
ping host '193.145.55.151', domain 'iuamtg.upf.es'
Status: YPBIND_FAIL_VAL
and it can't connect to it. After this if I want to execute ypcat:
bash-2.05b$ ypcat user.byname
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: Domain not bound
No such map user.byname. Reason: Can't bind to server which serves this domain
yp.conf seems correct (I managed to do that dhcp didn't overwrite yp.conf each reboot).
Any idea?
Thanks! |
