I have been trying to configure the cisco client to run from my home network and have been unable to get it to run. I have 2 contradictory things I have found out so far. The client works fine from home with the same pcf file in windows. The client works fine inside the work LAN.
I can't use vpnc, because we do vpn over TCP. I had thought it might be a router problem, but the windows box has no problem. Anyone have any ideas at this point?
EDIT: It dies at the point after opening the tcp socket, it times out.
Initializing the VPN connection.
Initiating TCP to **********, port 443
Contacting the gateway at ***********
Secure VPN connection terminated locally by the Client.
Reason: The remote peer is no longer responding |

Additional information, when I try to connect with my dual-boot windows vm, I get the same error. However, if I reboot into windows, it works. |
