Hello,
finaly at job i shall start using gentoo. I'm building system on my own. So i would like to ask you,
what i should do, to get all my emails from Windows to Linux?
In windows at this moment i'm using uoulook from MS office 2007.
Is it possible to export or something, because there is some important emails.
Or there is no way? |

depends what email client you plan to use. the latest version of evolution (the official GNOME client) can load outlook mail very easily (i.e. it can simply import the outlook .pst files). otherwise google for outport, readpst or some other tool for converting .pst files into the mbox files that linux clients (thunderbird, kmail, or whatever) can read.
in any case, it's certainly possible, and not difficult: just make sure you know where (i.e. in what files) your outlook email is actually stored, and either back up those files or (the safest approach) locate them and import them into your linux system before trashing the windows system. |
