hi .
how can i setup my xorg to work with minimal installation? because the only reasons which i need desktop is firefox and a pdfreader ... . so i don't need 3d accelerations, for instance . how can i config my xorg in such a way ???

Just emerge mozilla-firefox. It should pull in all xorg dependencies it needs. Alternatively, just emerge xorg-server. Don't emerge the full xorg meta-package (x11-base/xorg-x11), because that one will pull in some unnecessary stuff.
However, the difference between a minimal and a full xorg installation is pretty small, just a few fonts and some small tools. It shouldn't affect your performance.
