I'm running Gentoo in virtualbox-3.0.2, and I have the virtualbox-guest-additions, xf86-video-virtualbox and xf86-input-virtualbox working. The mouse pointer integration is working just fine, and I can use folder sharing with the host, WinXP. But no matter what I try, the seamless mode menu item is greyed out so I can't select it, and attempts to resize the graphical display by dragging the corner do not resize the screen size - it just stays the same and the borders get wider. What am I doing wrong?

xorg.conf (using xorg-server-1.6.2-r1):

I found I can run

Code:

VBoxClient --seamless
VBoxClient --autoresize

to get these working. A little surprised these aren't part of /etc/init.d/virtualbox-guest-additions.
