|
|
Hello:
I need some help regarding the virtual mailhosting described in the documentation. I have a Sun Netra T1125, Gentoo installed with no problems but emerge postfix is failing when mysql is unpacking, it just stop the process so I have to do crtl-c to stop the installation. I tried the USE flags described in the guide but with -ssl and no luck.
Please help

Thanks for your attention.
Ok, but what about the rest of the installation process? At some point it explains the configuration of mysql as part of the virtual mailhosting server. Is it possible to get the same functionality without mysql? Do I just skip this?

u may want to look at the home network email guide.
I don't think they use mysql.
have a read anyway.. it might help.
mysql is just the user database and authentication info.. u can always use a different way of authenticating users.. _________________ Kororaa install method - have Gentoo up and running quickly and easily, fully automated with an installer! |

oh.. btw... u said it freezes... can u extract the mysql tarball on another computer, then burn it to cd, and copy it to the sparc hdd?
then try to compile it again? dunno.. just a thought..
how much room do u have on your hdd?
is there any hd activity? or the whole thing stops?
just a thought _________________ Kororaa install method - have Gentoo up and running quickly and easily, fully automated with an installer! |
