Hi to all. I already install samba on my system, and share some folders too. It works good but when I try to access my linux folders from other PC the windows system ask me for a password.... I don't know which password to put because I haven't configure samba with that kind of security, and the only password that could be it isn't because is the only password I use... I'll preciate your help... Thanx.... |

Have you tried the username "Guest" with a blank password? Maybe you should run smbpasswd to add a user into Samba if that doesn't work. |

Try setting the security level to 'share' in samba and use 'guest ok = yes' on each share.
If you cant work it out I suggest trying swat - the samba webadmin interface (that you probably already have installed, you just need xinetd and enable the swat xinetd entry). _________________ Christian
