I have to start a new one though there are some threads about this already(but none of them works for me).

I just emerge gnome-2.4, using breakmygentoo's ebuild. Then, I can't launch any url in evolution with my default browser. I know that in gnome-2.2, I can set the default browser in *gnome-default-applications-properties*, but this wouldn't work in 2.4. Besides, the change I made in gnome-default-applications-properties would lost. :(

Anyone using gnome-2.4 met same problem? And, is there any workaround for it?

Oddly enough, under 2.2 I couldn't get Evolution to launch a browser at all when I clicked on a link despite lots of mucking about with the settings, but in 2.4 it simply works, launching Epiphany just like it's supposed to. I take it you've checked what the http handler in the MIME type settings is?
