|
|
Hello all. I seem to be having a strange problem with displaying thumbnails while using Konqueror. While in icon view, only certain images will be displayed as thumbnails. One .jpg that is 3504x2336 will show a preview while the rest that are the same size won't. I originally thought that it was only large images that Konqueror doesn't want to display thumbnails for, but it doesn't seem to matter what resolution they are.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone know what I could do to remedy this issue? |

This is (probably) due to KDE's thumbnail filesize limit.
JPG files vary in file size for the same pixel count depending on things such as quality and what the picture is. Thus some of your photographs are small enough to have thumbnail, some not.
Change the setting under Settings>Configure Konqueror>File Management>General>Previews _________________ "The problem with quotes on the internet is that it is difficult

I have found that jpg size does make a difference. Any thing over 1meg will not show up for me as a thumbnail.
I have a picture that is 1017.0 KB and 2304 x 1536 and it shows as a thumbnail.
I have another one that is 1.MB and 2304 x 1536 and it will not show up as a thumbnail
So I don't think that it is the length and height but the KB of the picture. |
