convert (imagemagics problem) reduces quality

Hi,

I have a simple question: I am using convert +append for putting several eps images next to each other. The problem I have is that the quality of the resulting eps file is pretty poor. I wonder if anybody knows how I can use this command such that the quality is not reduced.
Any comments welcome.
