smtpclient, is it the simplest way to send a email?

i emerged a package called smtpclient
but i cant figure how to use it to send mail to anyone.

obviously, i will need to figure out the smtp server of whoever, say hotmail. (btw how do i find that out)

but say i want to send my email to foobar@hotmail.com
the program option does not have a place for the reciever
