There has been a terrible network issue at my day job that our sysadmins can't seem to solve...
As an overview, during the day there are probably about 100+ people all going through a proxy our sysadmins setup.
The problem is the network will seem unresponsive with lots of connection timeouts, until a connection has been made, then it seems that speed is not an issue.
ex. downloads will be fast once they start.
I can think of DNS, proxy/router limitations, but I don't how to start testing these (especially with limited/no access to the network "backend")
How would you go about narrowing down a problem like this? _________________ A day without sunshine is like night. |
