Its not really a big deal but still somewhat annoying, /etc/conf.d/hostname is still HOSTNAME="localhost" and I've not changed anything else so why has it started doing this? |

man dhcpcd.conf says this:

maybe you should try a real hostname (I like LotR elves myself ) _________________ .... there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth
doing as simply messing about with Linux ...

OK thanks for pointing that out, have a real hostname now although I was happy with localhost god knows why it changed after changing ISPs |
