Hallo,
habe OpenOffice 1.0.3 mit LANGUAGE=49 emerge openoffice "installiert".
Ich habe nun noch drei Probleme damit:
1.) Die Programme sind trotz der LANGUAGE-Option alle auf englisch.
2.) Die komplette Hilfe fehlt.
3.) Wieso wird mit emerge "nur" die 1.0.3 installiert? Es gibt doch schon neuere Versionen...

in zeile 28 trägst du folgendes ein 
damit siet dein ebuild nun am anfang wie folgt aus

und nach etlichen stunden hast du's auf Deutsch
ne ne noch nicht fertig
jetz holst du dir noch die veschieden dict die du brauchst auf ftp.uasw.edu/pub/openoffice.org/contrib/dictionaries/ und entpakst sie in /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.3/share/dict/ooo anschliesend past du das feil file:/opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.3/share/dict/ooo/dictionary.lst deinen wünschen an
meins siet wie volgt aus

und wen du Write gestartet hast Extras > Optionen > Spracheinstellung > Sprachen anpassen
und Extras > Optionen > Spracheinstellung > Linguistik > Bearbeiten anpassen
Write beneden und neustarten jetzt solte die rechtschreibung u. tesaurus funktionieren 
viel Spass

emerge wird dir nach dem entpacken angezeigt haben, dass es OO auf Englisch bauen möchte. It's not a Bug, it's a Feature

Weil die 1.0.3 zumindest offiziell das aktuelle Stable Release ist.
Bevor du wieder anfängst dir ein OO 1.0.3 selber zu bauen, würde ich dir _dringend_ dazu raten das 1.1rc3 Binary zu ziehen und zu installieren. Von neuen Features abgesehen kann ein selbstgebautes OO 1.0.3 in Sachen Tempo einfach nicht mithalten.

Super, OO ist nun mit deiner Methode deutsch 
Aber: habe mir die Files HYP und DICT (je in Version de_DE) von o.g. FTP geholt, ins richtige Verzeichnis kopiert und die dictionary.lst angepasst. (Die Thesaurus-Datei gabs da gar nicht, wo krieg ich die her?!?!)
Im Writer alles auf deustch umgestellt bei Sprachen und Linguistik. Wenn ich jetzt die Rechtschreibprüfung sausen lasse, prüft er gar nicht (!), sondern sagt nur lapidar, die Prüfung wäre abgeschlossen... Wo hakts noch?
