I wanted to get my joystick working so I could play Freespace 2 properly, but have run into a problem. The joystick is a Thrustmaster one which I've had for a few years, and has 4 hats and 4 buttons. I don't care about getting it all working, a simple 2 button joystick is all I'm after. It's connected to the gameport on my soundcard, which is using the snd-cs46xx ALSA driver. I've loaded the gameport, joydev, and analog modules, no problems there (using 2.6.0-test4-mm2). I've tried the jscalibrator program that has been recommended in many other joystick threads. It detects the joystick as "Analog 4-axis 4-button joystick". Only 2 of the buttons it detects actually seem to work, but that doesn't matter. The problem is that moving the stick itself produces nothing. I've tried moving all the hats in case it was picking one of them up instead, but it doesn't seem to be. Has anyone had this problem before? _________________ Per Ardua Ad Astra
