Java app steals sound temporarily.

I am currently using alsa, with only one problem. When I run one Java app, all sound stop, until I stop and start whatever is making the sound. So for example, pause and play works in amarok will get the music working again, I have to reload a web video window, but then everything works, java app, amarok, youtube, all can work at once. If I restart everything after I launch the java app.

This is clearly not a deal-breaker, but it is annoying.

Any thoughts?
