|
|
Hi,
I'm trying to get my Tungsten E to sync with JPilot, but usb.c: USB device 13 (vend/prod 0x830/0x60) is not claimed by any active driver. (says dmesg)
I figure I'm missing one or two kernel modules or options. So here's my questions:
1) I'm using Kernel 2.4.24 at the moment. Would it be wise to migrate to Kernel 2.6 only to tackle this specific problem? Is there a chance that it would work better in 2.6?
2) Either way, could you post the options you have enabled in your Kernel that made the synchronization work? I'd be most obliged
Thanks,

Absolutely yes. USB support is much better in 2.6
In my kernel(2.6) config I have :
Code: |
CONFIG_USB=m
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD=m
CONFIG_USB_UHCI_HCD=m
CONFIG_USB_STORAGE=m (it is for my camera]

I'm using 2.6 with the options above (except I think I have them IN my kernel rather than modules) and I have a tungsten E. JPilot works great so far...but KPilot doesn't (no biggie). |

Thanks! I'll upgrade then. Shouldn't be too much of a compatibility issue with my system, should it? |
