[solved] VirtualBox Gentoo Guest not recognizing keys in X

Not sure where to put this. I've installed a gentoo guest on a Mac OS X host. I have guest additions installed. Everything works fine until I start X. Seamless mode appears to work but X doesn't respond to mouse clicks or keyboard input (although, it does appear that I can move the mouse cursor). I followed the guide on the gentoo wiki here(http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Virtualbox_Gentoo_as_Guest ) paying special attention to the kernel config, make.conf, and xorg.conf.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Basically, I just had to turn on hald.
