I'm trying to get my new LG phone to talk to libmtp, but I'm having problems with USB recognition. Here's what dmesg says:
Code: | usb 2-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7
usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1004, idProduct=611a
usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=1, SerialNumber=3
usb 2-1: Product: LG VX11000
usb 2-1: Manufacturer: LG Electronics Inc
usb 2-1: SerialNumber: A0000018AF245A00
usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
scsi6 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
usb-storage: device found at 7
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
usb 2-1: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7

Here's what mtp-detect says when run as root:
Code: | libmtp version: 1.0.0
Listing raw device(s)

Device 0 (VID=1004 and PID=611a) is UNKNOWN.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
