|
|
I am wondering how do I go about closing all the ports on my computer and making it as secure as it can be?
I have just gotten Cable Internet and I for one do not want the service providers to be logging onto my computer and finding out what I'm doing and I would like to host a web site.
Thanks for any help... |

You need to make sure iptables is in your kernel (either compiled in or as modules) and then run some firewall software.
I use rc.firewall from http://projectfiles.com/firewall/
It is easy to use and effective. The instructions on the site even tell you which kernel modules you will need. |
