| My boot drive is hdc1(which has windows xp on it). when installing grub manually on it, is grub> setup (hdc) correct? |

| It is more likely to be "setup (hd0)". (that is a zero) |

You can use grub find | Code: | grub> find /boot/kernel
(hd0,0)
grub> quit |
