Does anybody know where I could obtain a button map for that really nice new Logitech mouse with like 10 buttons on it? |

Do you have a mirror for that? Seems to be down. I need it for my MX 500 :-! _________________ what up |

|
|
Hey...
this is what I did to get my mx700 to work. The buttons work well with galeon! Everything except the "Task-Switch-Button"... but this is because X wont pass an event for that button. (at least wont show me one)

At startup you only have to run these two commands.
Code: | xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5" |
This works for me...
with one exception. I put both commands in the gnome session startup... but only the first of them seems to be executed, possibly due to the quotes in the second commandline. If you happen find a workaround for this, please tell me!
hope I helped you

instead of putting the xmodmap in your gnome session startup, create a /etc/X11/Xmodmap file and add this to it
Code: | pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5 |

Thank you...
I might have figured that out myself, but I was kind of busy, or lazy the past couple of weeks, so I just put up with typing the command everytime I booted the computer...which is not very often....
