I'm trying to figure out seq24 here. It seems to be functional, and I can play a synth connected through my midi router (an Emagic AMT8) and have seq24 recognize the incoming data. But a couple of things don't look right.

1. When I create a sequence and put it in a song and hit the play button, nothing happens. In pattern edit, clicking on the keyboard on the left triggers the sound from my connected, external synth, but on playback, nada.

2. In pattern edit, when I play my synth, notes seem to stack up vertically. Nothing moves horizontally. Is there just something wrong with my installation of seq24?

I think I nabbed it. Start it with --manual_alsa_ports and it shows up in jack connections.

But it only has one in, and recording new loops while playing old ones gets the old ones recorded in the new ones.

Hahaha - no.
