Got the X server and Fluxbox running yesterday, after fighting for 8 hours with this onboard S3 ProSavage8 3D...

So far everything is working (except for this host resolving problem with Mozilla Firebird, see my posting under networking), but after exiting fluxbox, I discovered an error message, which comes up every time on the console:

...
Using vt 7
Failed to load groupfile:
BScreen::BScreen: managing screen 0 using visual 0x23, depth 24
angle = 0

Any idea, what this missing groupfile could mean, and how to solve this ???

IIRC, that error is not a biggy,

I suppose, if you want it to go away, just make a file called 'groups' in your ~/.fluxbox dir.

The file is there so you can specify, if you want, which groups of programs to load in the same tab.

On the box it said it was designed for Win XP or better, so why won't it work with Linux?

Just tried it with creating a file named "groups" in ~/.fluxbox, but the error message is still comming up.

But anyway, there are more important things to do, and it doesn't cause any problem... :wink:

Problem solved: The groupfile session in .fluxbox/init was missing...
