|
|
Hi,
I'm not 100% sure this is the best place for this but I think it's a gnome problem so I'm putting it here.
When I suspend my computer using the suspend button on my keyboard. It suspends without any issues. But when it resumes it will come up fine then suspend again straight away. It's only after the 2nd time will I get my login prompt again. This has only been an issue in the last couple updates of gnome.
Shutdown->Suspend works fine. pm-suspend also works fine.
Disabling the Action "When the suspend button is pressed" stop suspending button doing anything so it's not like two apps are interrupting the same button press.
The "when the power button is pressed" action doesn't have this issue.
Any suggestions on where to look or help would be appreciated.
gnome-power-manager 2.26.4

Luckily you are not the only one
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280944
A rather hackish workaround would be to write your own acpi powerbtn.sh script and put that into the proper place.
Another cleaner (yet more intrusive) alternative is to upgrade and see if the issue is fixed (which I'm not sure of).

Thanks mate,
I searched the forums and google and didn't have any luck finding anything. Will do an upgrade first and see it that sorts anything out. |

I've ended up editing the ebuild and removing --enable-legacy-buttons from the configure options. Now all works like it use to |
