I am installing gentoo onto my brand new p4 3GHz machine (this is not my first install of gentoo). I'm in the process of bootstrapping, but after it downloads the first package (gettext-0.12.1.tar.gz) and starts to compile it I get this:
!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 5d4bddd300072315e668247e5b7d5bdb
>>> your file's digest: de4b1a3647645d63947bb630df012f26
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//gettext-0.12.1.tar.gz
So I erased the file from /usr/portage/distfiles tried the bootstrap process again, and got the same error. I also tried to emerge it outside of the bootstrap but that didn't work either.
I understand the problem, but I just don't know what to do to fix it.
