Galeon 1.3.7 bug (helper apps not working)

I wanted to try galeon with gtk2, so I emerged mozilla 1.4 and galeon/galeon-1.3.7.ebuild with USE="gtk2"

I just finished emerging galeon 1.3.7 and now there is no mime-type section in the preferences. I learned this when I tried to view an mpeg file, and it asked me if I wanted to save or cancel (choose helper app was greyed out).

I searched google to see if this was a common problem but I've not found any posts related to it. Does anyone else have this problem?

BTW- I opened mozilla and it let me choose a helper app without any problems... only galeon has this problem.
