I can't seem to find where the pktcdvd mailing list is (the site it's mostly on only has 2.4 and 2.5) and google isn't being all that helpful on finding info.
Has anyone tried the 2.5 patches against 2.6 or did someone add it into the 2.6 kernel (hopefully , but they would have had to change the place in menuconfig)
Am I going to have to reboot to burn cds (in packet mode)?
Hmm... now that i think about it: where is the gentoo-2.6-sources they would save me lots of trouble |

I'm not sure what you are talking about here.
Seems to be misunderstanding how the kernels are operating.

Packet writing was supposed to make it into 2.6 but its not in the testi3 version. The mailing list is at packet-writing@suse.com.
I can't keep up with patching new 2.6 kerenls so I have gone back to 2.4 while things settle down.
