In attempting to install Open Office, I have found that the binary package will not install. It looks like a problem with the file that the ebuild downloads.

Build
Code:

I'm getting the same error. It must be a problem with the newest portage as openofice-bin ebuild from last week compiled openoffice-bin for me just fine.

Correction: I just compared openoffice-bin-3.1.1.ebuild and they are identical so it must be something else.

It just worked after two days of failing. I am not sure what changed. :/

EDIT:And it seems the binary just plain doesn't work. I try to run it and the splash screen appears, loads, disappears... and then nothing. Running it in a terminal, I get no errors of any sort.

EDIT2: Well, I managed to squeeze one error out. I'm running revdep-rebuild to see if that finds some broken libraries.
Code:
GLib:ERROR:gmain.c:1827:g_main_dispatch: assertion failed: (current->dispatching_sources == &current_source_link)

EDIT3: Woah. Got the error report. Here it is: http://pastebin.com/m58d12ea2
