Live-DVD (10th Anniv) boots to kde but no mouse or keyboard

Used testing live-dvd last week and had no problems with mouse or keyboard. In "Final"(10/09) live-dvd after I type "gentoo" boot option and boot starts I get colorful screen with direction to use alt-F1 or 2? for detailed view. But typing any option gets me nothing until arriving at kde desktop with frozen mouse arrow and inactive keyboard. I have MS Intellieye usb mouse and MS NaturalKeyboardPro usb keyboard.
'gentoo-nofb' boot option allows mouse use until type 'kdm' when mouse and keybd don't work, even after getting to kde(auto-login).
Is there another boot/option code to get mouse and keyboard working? Thx.
