when I start kdm, it message "Your saved session type 'gnome' is not valid any more." and can't login, any idea?

Hello,
You use a old profile or profile of another install.
Under KDM, you have two button , one of them list all valid sessions, choose one of
Info : under your home folder (user) you have one file .dmrc
This file contain your default graphics session.
Under system with lot of graphics session (kde, gnome, xfce, flu....) this file permit to the system to launch correct sessions after first choice of user. |

hello.
do you use kdm for gnome login? maybe you reinstall gnome or gnome-lite depending on what you have emerged. |

I delete .dmrc and recomplie kdm with USE="-consolekit" ,it's solved. |
