The micro is an Athlon x2 240 AM3 in a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H. It appears the bios must be updated for correctly recognizing the cpu.
It affects cpu speed? or only displays false data in cpuinfo?

There may be nothing "wrong." I don't know if the new Athlons have the cpu's independently clocked, by my Phenom does. The older Athlons did not. Are you using on-demand frequency control?
