I'm having a problem with my wireless NIC, a netgear ma311 (lucent orinoco)
I get it installed and working, but after a while it locks up.
I get lots of "Error -110 writing Tx descriptor to BAP" error messages.
When it has locked and I try to change anything with iwconfig i get a message: "Device is busy" or something like that.
I read somewhere that setting a low RTS threshold, i used 250 bytes, would be a workaround. It got better, it took a bit longer before it locked up again.
I use Gentoo 1.4 with kernel 2.4.22. I had the same problem when i had Red Hat 9 with kernel 2.4.20 installed on the same machine.
When i boot to Windows XP everthing works just fine.

I solved the problem myself.
I set the RTS threshold to a even lower value (200) and it seems to work.
I guess this isn't the best thing to do performnance wice, but atleast it is working.
