|
|
I'm trying Gaim and I see in its setup there's a docklet. I use Fluxbox and it doesn't work. However, the Gaim FAQ say its docklet is :
I thought that Fluxbox was compatible with Gnome and KDE system trays?
Is it possible? With a unstable version of Fluxbox?
I've tried with Gaim 0.67 but nothing better...
An idea? |

It is possible with the development fluxbox releases. The latest is in portage, and its pretty good. I suggest that you install it |

Is this version is really "stable"? I read that for example the transparancy system isn't very pretty? Is it?
And what are the other differences with the stable package? |

Well...it is completely different. There are some bugs, but in my opinion it is worth the upgrade, eye candy |

I don't use fluxbox for all its possibilities (just docklets, xplanet, and I have add some sub-menus... but there's maybe no more options!!), so the new version'll work maybe without any problem!
I'm gonna install it, thaks for the advice! |

The development versions are masked. Try this:
Code: | emerge /usr/portage/x11-wm/fluxbox/fluxbox-0.9.6_pre1.ebuild |
And it should merge. |

To what kind of bug do I must expect? (I don't know if it's a correct english )
'cause I don't wanna reinstall my future apps thinking that the bugs come from those... |
