Thank you.

I will let you know if there's something not properly working.

EDIT: I still have crashes when switching from a channel to another... :(
Look at the bug report to see details please.
I also found another bug report here about this issue.

The filter (e.g. Free to Air) doesn't work during the chan scanning.

:(

What version of xine-lib and media-sound/phonon are you using? The most stable versions are 4.3.80-r1 and 1.1.17, anything older than that is just deprecated

media-sound/phonon-4.3.50_pre20090520 and
media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.16.3-r1
which are marked as stable in Portage.

I can try to update to ~amd64 version, of course. So, portage should be updated to mark the versions you mentioned as stable, isn't it?

Thank you for your support.

There's already a bug open for xine-lib stabilization. But you can open a bug to get newer phonon stable, it should work fine with KDE 4.3.3 too.

No way.

I've just upgraded to media-sound/phonon-4.3.80-r1 and media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.17 but I still have crashes switching from a channel to another.

Just a little bit question: where is the file where kaffeine stores the whole channel list?
I tried to modify the ~/.kde4/share/apps/kaffeine/channels.dvb also removing some row, but all the channels are still there, when I open Kaffeine.
Is there another file where Kaffeine stores the channels?

Yep, and kaffeine-1.0_pre3 was released a couple of days ago and it's now in Portage. 8)
