i was tryng to update my box to day so i synced my portage and overlays and hit

mybox hedmo # emerge --newuse --update --deep --ask --verbose world

* IMPORTANT: 4 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
* Use eselect news to read news items.


These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

okej i put the new flag in make.conf and started to update but got some errors from kdelibs.
is there a way to update without the semantic-desktop flag :?:

Hello

No, for two ebuild : kdelibs and kdepimlibs.

Under make.conf : -semantic-desktop
Under /etc/portage/package.use
->kde-base/kdelibs semantic-desktop
->kde-base/kdepimlibs semantic-desktop

This is due, probably, by strigi (-strigi can't change) and for pimlibs this is due by Kontact.

that wont work. the opposite of what you typed may work.but i probably get it unsatisfy

Jepp e17 it is but so far i dont like it.it want hal,consolekit and problem
with compiz.i give it à week or i Will go with lxpanel or kde again
