gentoo host - xna in winxp vm (kernel 2.6.31-gentoo-r4)

- no it did not help (still, maybe its the wrong subsection - put me in the right one - thx)

my system is a dell D420
i am running gentoo with kernel 2.6.31-r4
i am running VMware Player 2.5.3 build-185404
also tried before VirtualBox 3.0.8

maybe my main question is easily answered, but i stuck...

I try to run microsoft's xna on c# express 2008 on a windows xp sp3 in a vm.
the problem is, that c# announce, that pixel and vertexshader 1.1 are missing.

maybe just my hardware does not support it? vertex shader 2.0 is only supported via software?!
