This is a new build. I cannot get Amarok to scan and build a collection for the life of me. I'm trying to use the built in sqlite and i keep getting the error messages:

I've tried using an external mysql database, building it correctly and setting up per the documentation. I can get it to build a collection of artists and albums, but it will not populate any of the tracks, I cant expand any of the album trees to see any tracks nor add an album to the playlist.
I've searched for a while, tried compiling wit the -fPIC flag or the --as-needed ldflags, neither helped.
I've recompiled mysql with and without community embedded minimal, none resolved. Tried using mysql-community instead, didnt help. recompiled sqlite, didnt help. Tried downgrading to amarok 2.1.1, didn't help.. I've removed ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok, and all other amarok files left on my drive. nothing..
Any advice would be great!

I downgraded mysql to 5.0.83, recompiled all dependencies of mysql and amarok, and then was able to get amarok-2.2.0 to use the external mysql DB. couldnt get it to use the embedded one still though (still got the same error messages), but oh well. I guess amarok is just having problems with the newer mysql's
